WEEK 1
Lecture
The class was first opened by explaning  the time base project (Pre production, Production, Post Production). This properties uses in the make of  a well-prepared/professionals videos which we will applied in this module. There was also a program briefs of what projects exercises to expect.

Editing Exercise Adobe Premiere Pro
As a warming up, we are assigned to structure this two video sequences in Adobe Premiere Pro. This exercise helps on getting more familiar with the basic tools (overwritten and insert).  The first sequence ('Mints' Clip) was quite straight forward following the number orders given by the lecturer, and simply just insert right next to each other (vid.1.)

The second sequence named 'Doritos' took me a while to figure out as it has been randomized but I managed to finish it after figuring out the story plot by grouping some videos together. It goes (news about the baby > eating doritos > playing with the baby movements > screams > ads logo).

WEEK 4

Lecture: Film Sound
In some professional manner, sound design is very objective and it depends to its designer where to gives focus at. Example on 'Munich' footage that place us on a certain subject which is the driver car rather on what actually appear on the screen. A great sound design will feel invisible.
Different music, can create different nuance on video even though they using the same footage.

Lecture: Color Correction and Color. Grading

What is color correction?

Is a technique to balance out an image/video color and tones to match the real world experience. Usually plays with the exposure, contrast and white balance and hues of a certain object like skin color.

What is color grading?

A creative technique that helps set a mood into the video/image you’re working on. It conveys the visual tone of the video to make it artistic and niche.

What is the differences between colour correction and colour grading?

Colour correction stands towards more about the color accuracy of a certain footage to achive their neutral balance. And Color Grading works as the after effects to set emotion or look of the footage you want to create.

Are both colour correction and colour grading necessary while editing video or just do one of them?

Both are necessary to achieve a good final product of an image/video. Color correction is necessary as the initial step before color grading and it helps neutralised your footage. Then, Color Grading will acts afterwards to give a certain tone/color palette into your footage to evoke certain emotion/style.
