REFLECTION

What have I learned in this module?
This module taught and trained me about the design principles and elements that is essential to create an optimal artwork. It helps me orderly identify a design work that is created by other or our own in the early process.

What did I enjoy the most?
I personally enjoy the media that Design Principle module enable us to explore. Unlike other modules which require a certain app like adobe photoshop/illustrator to conduct the assignments given, design principle module give the student a free platform to express or experiment with their projects and exercises. And the great thing, is we also got to choose our own design theme. Yes, there is a certain principle that must be apparent the most but the student get the chance as well to venture in a way they enjoy the most. For instance, I personally more comfortable doing my project in a digital media rather than traditional.

What did I not enjoy the most?
To be bluntly true, I so far enjoyed the working process even though there is many hurdle on the way. But, the part where we have to document our works in blog like this is quite a trouble for me.

What have I learned about myself through this module?
This module really helps me to think about the essential part when creating a design/artwork. I used to just randomly place my ideas and start a project unorganizedly. However after when through this module, I found myself have a quicker time to point out of when to find and which part to pay attention more if I want to create a design work.

What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?
One thing for sure that change is the way I see design right now. Especially with most of my everyday life involve looking at digital screen (smartphone), we can't help but to easily found design works everywhere. And it makes my mind wonder like which design principle that this certain designer/artist going for their works.
For something that has not change is my time management skill. I did a improve little but I need more train as I got a lil bit overwhelmed in the mid of this sem which affect my later performance too in this module.

What could be improved in this module?
I personally think the module is already forgiving towards the freshmen design student. As both it give an insight to the design properties while allowing the student to freely experiment with the media. And if anything that really should be improved is my own personal issue on adapting to university schedule/framework.
